EX Assignment 04

In this assignment, you will apply your knowledge of acoustic modeling to visualize calling probabilities and test the robustness of your predictions. You will compare different modeling approaches and critically evaluate the spatio-temporal outputs.

Please do the following exercises until the next session:

1. Create a plot of the time series map. Add the occurance points to the maps.
2. Describe the time series maps in a few sentences.
3. What are there weaknesses?
4. How do you think the maps could be imporved?
5. Choose one different model algorithmn (e.g. GAM, GLM, xgBoost, Maxent) and train the model again.
6. Map the results and compare the results. How much do they differ?
7. Upload everything as a PDF file to ILIAS.
