Course Etiquette and Frequently Asked Questions

Course Etiquette

This course is held in a hybrid format, meaning some of you are joining in person and some online — here are a few guidelines to make this work smoothly for everyone. Please use your official students-mail for correspondence.

Attendance is expected throughout the entire course, including the final sessions. Unless you are enrolled via MO:VE, in-person attendance is expected. Joining online is fine in exceptional circumstances (e.g., emergencies).

Please note: If you miss the first three sessions without sufficient justification, we will assume that you are no longer taking this course and your spot will be released for other students. Course spots are limited, and we want to make sure they go to those who are committed to participating.

If you’re feeling unwell, please rest and take care of yourself. Do let us know, though, so we can arrange an individual deadline extension for your assignments.

There are no stupid questions — if something is unclear, please speak up sooner rather than later. Chances are others are wondering the same thing.

Please make use of the tools provided on ILIAS, as they are there to support your learning. Out of consideration for everyone, please avoid eating during sessions — this goes for both online participants (microphone!) and those in the classroom.
